Donall Curtin

Dónall is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland. He has served on several of the Institute’s committees including Disciplinary, Education, Examination, etc. He currently serves as Chairman of the Institute’s Registration Committee. Recently appointed to the Institute’s Academic Advisory Board, as the only non academic member.
Previously served as Chairman of the Institute’s Technical sub-committee on Financial Reporting Standards. This sub-committee deals with the reviews of discussion papers, financial reporting exposure drafts and financial reporting standards as issued by the Account Standards Board and drafting submission on these documents on behalf of the Institute. In this capacity, Dónall also represented the Institute on the Accounting Standards Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies – Ireland. Also, previously served as Chairman of the Institute’s Registration Appeals Committee
Dónall is a Partner in accountancy practice Byrne Curtin Kelly. He has in excess of 28 years experience. A considerable portion of Dónall’s client portfolio is in the professional service sector where he acts as management consultant, as well as the normal practice related services and Wealth Management services.
Dónall is a member of the Institute of Directors and is recently was awarded the Diploma in Corporate Governance.
Dónall is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators with considerable experience in arbitration, mediation and dispute resolution.
Dónall was also appointed by the government in 2002 & reappointed May 2008 as a member of the Board of the Dublin Docklands Development Authority. In this role, he acts as Chairman of the Community Liaison Committee and as previously as Chairman of the Stakeholder Management Subcommittee.
Dónall was appointed also appointed by the government in 2006 & reappointed May 2011 by the government as a member to the board of the Health Insurance Authority. The HIA is a regulatory body for private health insurance in Ireland. It deals with Risk Equalisation Scheme along with other matters.
Donall , also serves as Chairman of the board of Directors of Chambers Ireland. Chambers Ireland is the country's largest business organisation, with 60 member chambers representing over 12,000 businesses throughout the island of Ireland.
On the personal level, Dónall is a collector and a consumer of the Arts. In the past having worked with several organisations in promoting the role of the Visual Arts within Ireland.
